I can relate. I’m not a true athlete but I attend Orange Theory 3x a week and I ride my bike 10-15 miles 1-2x a week for about 30 yrs, during late spring thru early fall. I have severe arthritis in both kneecaps so the PT focus is quads and glutes. I was told I have very weak quads. It did make me feel kinda wimpy. I do a few extra exercises they recommended but not the laundry list I was given once PT was done. I call myself a mere mortal.

Many people diss chiropractors … but mine is a godsend. I visit his office quarterly for a “tuneup” where he realigns my spine. When my neck starts cracking when I turn my head or when a get a knife edge irritation in my lower back, it’s always a sign that I’m out of alignment. Not sure we humans were built to walk upright. Hope you get to enjoy the beauty of running soon!

Thank you - yes, I am on the mend and slowly getting back my old pace! I should say that most of the PT folks I worked with were wonderful.

"Local kinesiology shop" The one between Floyd's Pub and Anne Sather's, right? ;)

Sort of like a neighborhood apothecary! It was better than saying a “regional purveyor of the kinesthetic arts” 🙃
