I just watched a nice PBS documentary called The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay, which follows a few families of them in New England. It's not Blue Planet level, but it's pleasant viewing.
Still my "bucket list bird". I have killdeer in Pennsylvania in season now and their babies are JUST AS PRECIOUS (although the places they choose to have nests gives me anxiety). I got married in cape may NJ & that is a fantastic bird spot. I even talked my husband into extending our stay bc all we did was bird watch. Which took no money. I still went home to pa without seeing a Plover. I will take the killdeer however. Those lil cotton balls on stilts ...omg just little miracles ✨️!
